The Dental Team at Thorntons Law LLP has focused on providing specialist legal advice to the dental profession in Scotland for many years. Part of one of Scotland’s largest independent, full-service legal firms, with offices in 12 locations. the lawyers in the team all spend the bulk of their working week advising dentists on a number of issues, from practice sales and acquisitions, expense sharing and partnership agreements, employment law, immigration, property matters, and many other areas.

Our Dental team has continued to grow in recent years as we have welcomed further specialists and expanded our presence in the Glasgow area. Our team of 10 lawyers have a strength in depth which means that we are able to provide prompt and proactive legal advice to meet the needs of our dental clients, whilst each team member works within a specific area of law.

The team includes the only Scottish lawyer who is a member of both the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants and Lawyers (NASDAL) and the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD). We are also recognised by the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories as specialist advisers in Healthcare, with Lead Partners Michael Royden & Ewan Miller, along with Kim Campbell, Partner, being individually ranked.

We regularly present to dental audiences on a variety of legal issues which are relevant to the profession (including offering CPD training through NHS Education Scotland seminars), and are delighted to again be presenting at the Scottish Dental Show this year. We also publish articles in several dental-specific publications, including a regular feature in Scottish Dental magazine.
