To outline how the education arm of Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland), delivers education, training, workforce development and clinical guidance that supports primary care dental teams in general practice, and how the profession can access and shape that support.
Objectives
By the end of this session participants will have been:
- Provided with an overview of the role of PSD Scotland in delivering education, training, workforce development and clinical guidance for dental teams.
- Made aware of key national priorities and programmes that support the development of the dental workforce.
- Shown how PSD Scotland Dental works in partnership with the profession and other stakeholders to improve dental care.
- Made aware of how the dental workforce can access education, training and development opportunities through PSD Scotland.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this session participants should be able to:
- Understand the change of NHS Education for Scotland to Public Services Delivery Scotland.
- Understand priority areas for education and training for dental teams in general dental practice.
- Locate and access educational material relevant to their professional requirements.
