Identiti – New MSc in Orthodontics – Delivered in Glasgow, Starting 2026
At Identiti, we’re committed to empowering dental professionals with advanced skills and practical opportunities to meet the growing demands of modern orthodontics. We’re proud to introduce our new MSc in Orthodontics, launching in Glasgow in 2026 – a flexible, accessible pathway designed to help you expand your clinical scope without putting your practice on hold.
This part-time postgraduate programme, awarded by a UK university, is uniquely structured to be delivered locally, significantly reducing the need for long-distance travel and associated costs.
Whether you’re looking to build confidence in core orthodontic principles or are ready to pursue advanced treatment planning, this course offers three flexible exit points: Certificate, Diploma, or the full MSc.
Led by Specialist Orthodontist Andrew McGregor, the programme combines academic rigour with real-world application and personal support. Andrew explains: “It’s about supporting dentists to understand the fundamentals of orthodontics, diagnosis, treatment planning and, in particular, treatment mechanics.
“No one case is the same, so a lot of it is about case discussion; figuring things out as a group. It’s one of the things that I love about orthodontics – the problem-solving side of it and bringing everyone else onboard.”
This approach extends beyond the classroom. Delegates gain access to an exclusive online forum where Andrew provides guidance on live cases, fostering continued learning and confidence between sessions. Dental laboratory support is also built in, streamlining treatment delivery and improving patient outcomes.
Designed for small cohorts of around 15, the course encourages active participation, collaboration and critical thinking.
“We’re looking at 12 to 15 people in a room at any one time, with a lot of interaction, a lot of questions and small group exercises,” Andrew says.
“We promote critical evaluation, but no delegate feels left out and there’s no such thing as a stupid question. It has more of a study group atmosphere, rather than formal lectures.”
Now more than ever, general dental practitioners are in a prime position to step into orthodontics.
With the declining availability of NHS orthodontic services in Scotland, there’s a clear business case for broadening your treatment offerings. Patients are actively seeking alternatives, and those with the right training and support can meet this demand while significantly growing their practices.
At Identiti, we believe that advanced education should be both high-quality and accessible. That’s why our MSc in Orthodontics is designed with your schedule, your goals and your patients in mind.
