Society of British Dental Nurses is the only professional Society for Dental Nurses. It was founded almost 10 years ago and has a central focus on the current and future landscape of the profession. Our guiding philosophy is to encourage and welcome new dental nurses to the profession, with the hope of maintaining a sustainable workforce.

The Society is made up of a Council with extensive clinical practice and knowledge, with representation across the four UK nations. We also have an Honorary Consultants Board, made up of experts across a range of subjects, as well as an ambassadors group. The team also has an international voice.

We work collaboratively with key stakeholders and regulators and contribute to policy and governance, as well as academic infrastructures. Most importantly the Society was founded by dental nurses, for dental nurses and is run by dental nurses, who are vital members of the dental team.
