Multidisciplinary management of the anterior dentition

The aim of this session is to educate on the restorative management of the anterior dentition is always led by the aesthetic concerns and requests from patients. However, in the light of saving teeth as much as we can, the functional needs and duties should be guiding and inspiring our treatment planning. A reasonable compromise, sometimes, can give patients more options in terms of keeping their teeth for longer.

Objectives

By the end of this session participants will have been:

  1. Attendees will learn how to assess the Restorability and the Periodontal needs for a good restoration.
  2. Attendees will be informed about different restorative and periodontal surgical techniques to achieve functional and aesthetically acceptable good results.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the Resto needs of the anterior area of dentition.
  2. Understand the mutual relationship between soft and hard tissues.
  3. Plan accordingly the restorability and the aesthetic needs.
  4. Understand and plan where to remove in terms of hard and soft tissue components.
  5. Understand and plan where to add in terms of soft and hard tissue components.
