Arshad Ali

Arshad Ali established the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in 2009. 

Arshad qualified with commendation at the University of Glasgow in 1978 and continued his education with 10 years of postgraduate training in Glasgow, Cardiff, London and Sweden. He was appointed as the first NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in Wales in 1988, returning to Glasgow Dental Hospital in 1997 to take up an NHS Consultant post until March 2011.

Arshad then focused on the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry and post-graduate teaching.

Arshad has been involved in implantology since 1985 and has continued to develop his expertise in this area. He has delivered many lectures in the UK, Europe, North America, Hawaii and the Far East and is currently providing hands-on courses in crowns, bridges and implants. 

A member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, a leading national voice for the discipline of fixed prosthodontics, he attends and judges at the annual meeting in Chicago.
