Emma Riley
With many years of experience in dental nursing and oral health care, Emma qualified from the University of Manchester Dental School and, at one point, was the only sponsored Macmillan oral health practitioner working for the Pennine Trust, supporting patients at all stages of their treatment of oral cancers.
Emma ran nurse-led clinics and was the dental care professional (DCP) member of UK Oral Management in Cancer Group (UKOMiC). Her work has seen her present and write nationally and internationally and allowed her to present at a Mouth Cancer Awareness event in Parliament. Emma is also a clinical advisor for the Mouth Cancer Foundation (MCF).
Throughout the pandemic, Emma worked closely with care homes and was proud to contribute to the COP26 event, which put oral care for older persons under the spotlight.
