Tamora Shemwood

Tamora Shemwood has led the Dental Medical Emergencies (DME) Team at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds for the past nine years. She has a background in critical care nursing which has allowed her to develop the DME service, drawing on a wealth of experience, caring for the acutely ill patient to provide high quality DME training at undergraduate, postgraduate and registered dental professional levels. Collaboration with NHS England has seen Tamora and the DME Team take over DME provision for Yorkshire and the Humber Dental Foundation Trainees.

Along with being a Senior Fellow with Advanced HE, Tamora is also a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Faculty of Dental Trainers.
