Amy Smith

Amy is registered with the GDC and has been a Medical Emergencies Simulation Assistant for 18 months with the Dental Medical Emergencies (DME) Team at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds. 

Amy has more than five years of experience as a specialist Acute & Oral Surgery dental nurse who is also working towards a post qualification in conscious sedation. Amy is also a trained mental health first aider and supports and mentors new and existing members of staff. 

This wealth of experience in the field and passion for student and staff education has been brought to the role of Medical Emergencies Simulation Assistant and BLS instructor at the School of Dentistry, with translation to NHS care provided at the Leeds Dental Institute.
